De juiste bandenspanning voor je caravan
The right tire pressure for your caravan

It seems logical that good tire pressure is important for safe road holding. But did you know that you also reduce the risk of a blowout? So good to keep an eye on!

If the tire pressure of your caravan is too low, the tires can heat up considerably while driving, as this reduces their load-bearing capacity. Too high a pressure causes the caravan to wear out quickly: the tires are then too hard to absorb impacts from the road surface. Correct tire pressure also helps prevent your caravan from swaying while driving.

Caravan tires busy. How many bar and where can you find the tire pressure?

The tire pressure of a caravan tire usually varies between 3 and 4.5 bar. You can find out exactly what the correct pressure is for your caravan on the tire itself. Please note, the sticker on the caravan itself may indicate the wrong tire pressure. This is especially the case with a second-hand caravan when a previous owner may have fitted different tires to it. Within the margins indicated on the tire, it is best to opt for a slightly higher pressure. Please note that you must use reinforced (steel) valves from 4.5 bar in accordance with the advice of the caravan industry.

Immediately check the tire pressure of the car: if the rear tires are inflated a little harder, you will immediately notice that the caravan drives more stable! You also save fuel with the correct tire pressure .
