Mobile compressors are very compact – smaller than a normal bicycle pump – and run on a battery. Very handy to take with you during your bike ride. You can set the right pressure easily and precisely. The operation is also very simple, just a matter of connecting and switching on, the compressor stops automatically. Handy extra: you can immediately use it for the car.

The most complete bicycle pump compressor

Four mobile compressors were tested in Bicycle, for battery life, speed and noise. The Donrox Ride F511 came out as the test winner with a 9.1, because this turned out to be the most complete compressor. “You can also use the battery as a power bank, for example to charge a lamp, telephone or bicycle computer – Donrox also sells a carbon bicycle bag for 30 euros with a holder for your mobile phone. So for just 400 grams you have an extra battery for an emergency and a bicycle pump in one.” This compressor also scores well on user-friendliness, it does not get as hot as the other pumps and the display is easy to read.
